26 Jan Pennyfarthing Homes support local communities and have donated £2,500 to the Ringwood Food Bank!
On the 17th of January Pennyfarthing Homes, donated £2,500 to Ringwood Foodbank. The donation has gone towards those who need it most within the local community.
This donation will provide families and individuals with non-perishable food, toiletries, household essentials and necessities to keep adults and children warm during this cold Winter season.
Throughout 2022 the Ringwood Foodbank provided 4,695 food parcels, which provided 42,255 meals to 1778 families across Ringwood, Verwood and Fordingbridge. Each food parcel contained enough food for 3 meals for 3 days, to feed 2,827 adults and 1,868 children.
Chris Lee, Chair of Trustees at Ringwood Food Bank, said: “No one should have to face going hungry, and we always strive to ensure we provide effective relief for food hardship and poverty. With the operation of the Foodbank entirely dependent upon volunteers and donations, Ringwood Food Bank has helped over 17,000 people since being established in 2013. This very generous contribution from Pennyfarthing Homes supports these endeavours with the funds provided helping to ensure our services reach those who need it most.”
