Assistant BuyerFixed Term
We have a great opportunity for an assistant buyer to join our existing procurement team. Ideally with a minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in the construction industry and a firm understanding of materials and plant, however consideration will be given to a graduate/trainee or someone who is working towards their qualifications. Your primary role will be the procurement of all relevant plant and site materials optimising cost, quality and timescales to support our build programmes. You will also manage, maintain and update supplier agreement pricing structures, liaising with the senior buyer in relation to tenders of the same. A sound knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook are essential for this role, whilst experience of a construction specific software package, (preferably house building) is desirable.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, 22 days holiday rising to 25, company pension and bonus scheme.
