Augustus Park has opened its doors to its new show home, a well-proportioned four-bedroom family house, The Ashbury Bay.  The show home is part of the first release of properties in this development, which are sure to be extremely popular given its location on the outskirts of the charming historic town of Fordingbridge.

The new show home exhibits a stunning feature bay window in the living room in addition to French doors leading through to the garden.  The kitchen also benefits from garden access, so you can make the most of your outdoor space in this idyllic countryside location.  In addition to the generous living room and kitchen/ dining room, the downstairs living area offers an adjoining utility room and a study at the front of the house.

Upstairs, The Ashbury Bay has four well proportioned bedrooms.  The master which features an en-suite also has convenient storage with a wall dedicated to mirrored wardrobe space.  The three remaining bedrooms all share the family bathroom which offers a standalone shower in addition to the bath.  Heated towel rails and demister mirrors add the finishing touches to the high specification bathrooms.

Several of the new homes at Augustus Park are available to purchase through the popular Starter Home Initiative.  Using this Local Authority scheme, selected new home are being sold with a 20% reduction on the independently valued market price, meaning you could purchase a home for just £249,999 or less.  To be eligible for this scheme you must be a first-time buyer between the ages of 23 and 39 and currently live within the New Forest District Council area.  This is a fantastic opportunity for first time buyers to get on the property ladder, and, once the home has been owned for five years, the 20% saving passes from the local authority to the homeowner, plus any equity the home has gained over the 5 year period.

If you are not eligible for the 'Starter Home Initiative' you can still benefit from a house purchase scheme in the form of 'Help to Buy'.  'Help to Buy' makes new homes available for all buyers who may not have a sufficient deposit available for the full value of the property they wish to buy.  Under the scheme, the Government lends 20% of the cost of the new home meaning only a 5% deposit is required from the buyer along with a 75% mortgage. This means a new home at Augustus Park could be yours with just a £14,250 deposit for a 3 bedroom semi-detached new home with parking (example taken from The Harwood at £285,000).

Augustus Park is situated in a picturesque location by the River Avon in close proximity to the New Forest National Park.  It is surrounded primarily by farmland and Pennyfarthing Homes has also provided a breath taking area of sustainable alternative natural green space opposite the development for the enjoyment of all the residents and general public.  The abundant outdoor pursuits available in Fordingbridge and its surroundings are perhaps as big an attraction as the charming town itself with its numerous restaurants, bars and shops.
