Locally - Milford on Sea is one of the area's few remaining villages to fully retain its charm and timeless atmosphere. Village life is centred around a traditional Village Green, which is the focal point for the whole community. It is here each year that a May fair, Summer music festival and carol singing are held. Just a short stroll from the village centre takes you to the sea front, where brightly coloured beach huts sit on the edge of a clean, accessible beach, perfect for the family. At the rear of the beach, Milford's coastal footpath rewards walkers with magnificent views of panoramic coastal scenery stretching from the Isle of Wight and the Needles Lighthouse, across Christchurch Bay to the Isle of Purbeck. The village shops provide everything you might need, and more, with two small general stores, a bakers, a greengrocers and butchers, as well as cafes, restaurants and gift shops, a library, a bank and a post office.
