At Pennyfarthing Homes, our customers always come first.

This philosophy has been reinforced by success in the Daily Express National Housebuilder Awards, in both 2006 and 2007.  These awards are particularly coveted as they are voted for by our customers in recognition of excellent customer care, quality of service and product satisfaction.

The introduction of our “Customer Ready Certificate” (CRC) procedure has resulted in us winning the "Best Customer Satisfaction Initiative" at the Housebuilding Innovation Awards 2008.  The CRC has enabled us to eliminate 90% of snagging problems, as it is issued to certify that the property has been comprehensively checked for defects before it is made ready for occupation.  We are particularly proud of this achievement as it is a National Customer Care award, and we beat stiff competition from some of the largest housebuilders in the country.

All Pennyfarthing homes are therefore rigorously checked from top to bottom to ensure that the property is finished to the highest of standards and is ready to move in to.  A tall order when you consider that every home is built by hand!

From your very first contact with Pennyfarthing, we undertake to provide you with first class customer service, with a personal touch, incorporating:

  • Reliable information to enable you to make an informed decision about your purchase. 
     
  • Guidance through the reservation process, giving help, advice and information.
     
  • Pre-Handover Meeting with a member of the Sales Team to familiarise yourself with your new home.
     
  • Handover Meeting with a Sales Representative, who will demonstrate the operation of the central heating system and other fittings.
     
  • Homeowner Manual giving comprehensive details about your home.
      
  • One-Month Settling-in Meeting when our Customer Care Manager visits your home to ensure that everything is satisfactory.
     
  • Optional Six-Month Post Handover Visit (if required by home owner).
     
  • 10-year NHBC Buildmark Warranty.

Once again Pennyfarthing have hit the Jackpot, winning the "Best Customer Satisfaction Initiative" in the Housebuilding Innovation Awards 2008.

This National award is in recognition of the CRC (Customer Ready Certificate) process, whereby stringent checks are made on every property to ensure that snagging items at handover are minimised and, in many cases, completely removed.

The judges were impressed by Pennyfarthing's aim to provide each of its customers with a defect free home and admired their approach of comparing the housebuilding process to purchasing a new car - if all parts are in place, the product "sparkles".

Buyers can therefore be confident that their new home is built to an exacting standard, and is as near perfect as possible by the time they take occupation.

And in the Same Week......

Richard Hill, Pennyfarthing's Site Manager at Sovereign Place, Whitefield Road, New Milton, was a Regional Winner in the NHBC Pride in the Job Awards.  These awards are the "Oscars" of the Construction Industry with Richard being placed in the Top 9 out of 18,000 Site Managers.  An incredible achievement.

The National House-Building Council (NHBC) set up its 'Pride in the Job' competition to seek out the UK's best Site Managers and reward them for creating quality and well finished new homes.  This is an integral part of the NHBC's role to help raise standards for new home buyers.

Pennyfarthing has achieved 5 of these Awards in recent years.

Further Awards

Pennyfarthing received the Silver Accolade in the 2006 Daily Express British Housebuilder Awards with a further success in 2007.  These awards are particularly coveted as they are voted for by new home owners, who are invited to complete and return an independent questionnaire based on all aspects of their home buying experience.
