17 May THE ARNEWOOD SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION AWARD

Posted at 09:31 in by Kayleigh Garlick | No Comments | 0 Likes |

Each year Pennyfarthing Homes presents a Construction award to a student at The Arnewood School who has demonstrated hard work and dedication to their studies in Construction. The winner of the award also receives a £200 voucher from Travis Perkins, sponsored by Pennyfarthing Homes. This generous prize is designed to provide a young student with the opportunity to purchase tools and equipment which will support their future career and allow them to apply some of the skills they have learnt whilst studying construction at the Arnewood School.

The presentation was held on Monday 15th May at the Greenwood Place Development on Gore Road in New Milton and awarded to Nathan Ferris. Nathan is predicted to achieve a distinction in Construction and intends to study Construction at the Arnewood School next year. Nathan broke his jaw earlier this year but has been in school persevering while still in pain, so he was overwhelmed to be awarded the £200 voucher by Andy Follet, Construction Manager at Pennyfarthing Homes and to be recognized for his hard work.

15 students were given a tour of the site to support their subject knowledge of Construction and gain an insight into the building techniques and practices used on site. Three lucky students were also chosen to experience operating the digger!

A big well done to Nathan Ferris, we wish you all the best in your future in Construction.
